Help/FAQ
Frequently
Asked Questions
Q.
What is OpenSeats.com?
A. OpenSeats.com is an online trading community dedicated to facilitating
ticket sales between individuals. Our site brings buyers and sellers of
tickets together through a convenient, user-friendly Internet site. OpenSeats.com
facilitates person-to-person ticket transactions for sports and entertainment
events. Welcome - we hope you find value in our service!
Q. Does OpenSeats.com sell tickets?
A. OpenSeats.com does not sell tickets directly. We provide a way for
ticket sellers to advertise their tickets and ticket buyers to find tickets.
OpenSeats.com does not take possession of tickets being sold or the payment
for such tickets.
Q. What can I do to ensure effective ticket trading?
A. Make sure you agree on payment and delivery terms. There are several
ways that buyers and sellers can exchange tickets and payments. Meeting
in person in a public location is the safest method. Other methods include
courier services, certified mail and regular mail (if a level of trust
is established). The important thing is to be clear with your trading
partner so there is no misunderstanding.
Effective October 2000, PayPal has introduced a Fraud Protection Program
to give buyers and sellers more confidence in conducting transactions.
Under their "Buyer Protection Guarantee," if you purchase goods (i.e.
tickets) from a Verified Seller and do not receive your purchased goods,
you are entitled to a full refund of your purchase amount up to $5,000
per year. However, their guarantee only applies to the receipt of goods,
not the authenticity, condition or quality. If you cannot make an exchange
in person, you may want to consider this program. Be sure to read the
Terms of Use to understand exactly how the program can work for you. To

OpenSeats' Feedback System is designed to foster
confidence in the OpenSeats' trading community and facilitate effective
transactions among users. Please communicate with your trading partner.
Pay attention to Trading Partner Ratings and
encourage their use. Check out the rating of the buyer or seller. Evaluating
feedback can help you make an informed choice. Please remember to post
positive ratings for your trading partner if you have had a successful
experience, and conversely, negative ratings if you have had a bad experience.
Use Common Sense. Don't do business with people who make you feel uncomfortable
or suspicious. If someone suggests a meeting location that is uncomfortable
for you, suggest an alternative location. If you decide to use regular
mail to complete a transaction, please ensure that you have adequate information
about the other party before you mail either payment or the tickets.
Know what you are buying. If a description is in any way unclear, be sure
to clarify the ticket description before you agree on terms.
Be courteous to other OpenSeats.com users. Being courteous will enhance
your chances of getting the tickets you're looking for and finding buyers
for your tickets.
