About Us
With the launch of OpenSeats.com in July 1999, we began our journey to offer a better solution for matching individuals wanting to sell tickets they can't use with buyers trying to find better seats, cheaper tickets or tickets to sold-out events.
OpenSeats.com serves as an online person-to-person trading community for people who want to buy or sell tickets to local sports and entertainment events.
OpenSeats.com facilitates transactions between buyers and sellers of event tickets which means the seller and buyer coordinate their transaction independent of OpenSeats--we provide the online meeting place! We are not a ticketing company or brokers, and therefore, do not buy or sell tickets.
We distinguish ourselves by offering trading sites for each of our cities. Since most events are attended by people who live within an hour of an event's location, OpenSeats' local approach gives people the ability to transact with others in their city and communities weeks, days or even hours before an event.
Don't be surprised if you only see a few postings in a city. It can often take a few months to develop an active trading market once we launch a new city site. We think you'll find our service is a great resource and offers you the most flexibility. In fact, a number of our customers have given us their testimonials.
